At around 1,300 metres above sea level, the Burtscher family runs their farm in the 4th generation as a working organic mountain farm, certified by BIO AUSTRIA. Organic is not just a word here but a lived conviction: everything happens in harmony with nature, and animal welfare comes first.

Pure comfort in the Biohuus.
Our Biohuus was built from local timber with great attention to detail. Unwind in the cosy panorama sauna at the end of the day, complemented by two showers and a relaxation area with loungers. The large covered pergola with its adjoining terrace invites you to relaxed barbecue evenings outdoors.

In the Biohütte, a cosy parlour with a tiled stove awaits you. Warm wooden floors and walls of local natural timber give the house its natural charm. In the private common room in the basement you can gather with family and friends, or let the day wind down in the sauna. The terrace with its breathtaking mountain view invites you to barbecue evenings outdoors.

Our Fatnella organic alpine hut is fitted out with local timber. The rustic charm of the rooms meets a modern bathroom and a high-quality eat-in kitchen. Let the day wind down in the cosy sauna while, in summer, our yaks and dairy cows graze outside.

Into your own sauna after a day in the mountains.
Each of our units has its own sauna. In the Biohuus, a cosy panorama sauna awaits you, with two showers and a relaxation area with loungers. In the Biohütte and in the new Fatnella organic alpine hut, too, the day winds down in your own sauna. Afterwards, relax on the terrace overlooking the mountains of the Großes Walsertal.

Yaks, cows and a multi-award-winning alpine cheese.
A whole variety of animals lives at the farm, many of them protected breeds: yaks, Original Braunvieh, Tyrol Grey cattle, Krainer Steinschaf sheep, Strahlen goats, chickens and Icelandic horses. In summer our yaks and dairy cows graze on the Bio-Alpe Fatnella, where we make our own multi-award-winning alpine cheese and butter from fresh organic milk.
Guests are welcome to experience farm life up close and lend a hand around the farm. Our organic produce is available from the farm shop all year round.
